It’s the New Year! I love New Year’s.
It’s a time of new beginning. A time to do things different… to put things into perspective… to try new things.
What new things are you going to try this year?
I’m going to try new recipes. We are tired of eating the same old ones…lol. So I started by learning how to make a California roll!
They came out AWESOME! I was so proud of myself! It seemed really scary at first but it really wasn’t. Now I can have them when ever I want. It feels like such an achievement. SO if you think a recipe is going to be hard or looks scary… try it anyways! It’s not as scary as you think!
~~~ Please email us some of your favorite recipes! We would like to give them a try!
We are also going to try fishing!
I figured if I can make my own rolls now then I need fish to go in them. :o) But we have tested the waters and are not nearly knowledgeable enough about where to fish, what lures to use and all that. So the adventure begins!
AND of course we are going to take more art/jewelry classes this year and we will be actually posting our work… lol… we were a bit shy about that last year but we are going to jump in with both feet this year.
Like Studio Tuesday I would like to learn how to paint with watercolors. He is amazing if you haven’t seen his work please stop by his wonderful shop. www.studiotuesday.etsy.com
And to top it off we are also starting our camper customization or restoration… how ever you would like to look at it! LoL… we are super excited it will be so much fun! Of course it is a beach theme and we will be joining a vintage camper group… We went to a couple of vintage camper rallies in 2014 and loved them! It looks like a lot of fun hanging out with some really great people.
We will be starting our restoration/customization at the end of next month… Hopefully it will be warmer outside. It has been pretty chilly here and we have been doing inside things. :0) And I have been gathering lots of ideas. So if you have any great inside pics of vintage trailers please email them to me at email@example.com.
We have a vintage 1963 Field and Stream camper. We’ve named her “Flo” for Going with the “Flo” … lol… cheesy I know But it just fits!
We have decided on these colors for the outside. I found this great paint job on a Scotty trailer. Also that lovely teal blue is the same color as my stove top.
Well… we can’t wait to make her pretty!
We will document our journey on our blog. Please follow along with us! Any advice on anything regarding our camper from brakes to replacing the floor (serious wood rot on the floor and 3 out of 4 corners) to curtains please let us know! We could surely use it!
We wish you a Happy New Year and Hope you have many great adventures this year!
